Why Living 2024

The global movement of people living with HIV has played a critical part in every step of progress made over 40 years of the HIV epidemic.

We have successfully pushed for meaningful engagement of people living with HIV and for community voices to be heard at all levels and in all aspects of the HIV response. The UNAIDS World AIDS Day report highlights the important need to ‘LET COMMUNITIES LEAD’.

What to expect at
living 2024

In addition to the plenaries and other sessions, the Living 2024 program will capitalize upon the unique opportunity of a gathering of 200 people from communities of people living and affected by HIV from around the world and will include key events led by different partners such as:

The Launch of U=U University
Thematic dialogues under the Future of AIDS movement initiative
‘Zero’ themed community rally and march
Intergenerational dialogues covering themes such as criminalization, stigma, discrimination and more.
