MENA cross-regional exchange: developing strategies to ensure continuity of service delivery in crisis setting

Communities of key-populations living with HIV in the Middle East and North Africa region face specific challenges to ensure lifesaving prevention and treatment services due to draconian laws that criminalise HIV transmission and KPs. Due to these laws, there are often and increasingly more crackdowns on communities and more barriers to ensure access to HIV services. In addition, the region has been living through a series of conflicts which is bringing a flow of displaced communities who struggle to continue treatment. What lessons MENA communities can teach about ensuring the continuity of services, and what could they learn from other regions.
