Our Children are dying! community solidarity for a global actions!

There are still gaps in reaching sex workers and mothers who use drugs with preventive interventions to stop vertical transmission of HIV during pregnancy & breastfeeding. Moreover, not many interventions target or reach the children of key populations who may be affected. The lack of timely identification and treatment initiation for affected children and children of key populations, along with ongoing challenges in paediatric HIV care which include low adherence, coupled with stigma, discrimination, and criminalising laws are contributing to the rise in new HIV cases and deaths among children. This session aims to shine a light on the impact of community-led research by engaging communities of people living with HIV and other partners to generate more evidence to make a case for community-led research that contributes to implementing and sustaining programs that address the unique challenges faced by key populations.
