Brian West lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a 66-year-old gay man living with HIV since 1984. He volunteered and worked in the HIV sector in Scotland from 1996 till 2021. Joining the EATG in 2007, Brian served 6 years on the Board of Directors, including three as Chair, and is now the Chair of the Partners in Science Programme. He has attended several World AIDS conferences, valuing the strength of the community voices and activities there.
