Immaculate Owomugisha Bazare is a Ugandan social justice lawyer specializing in health and gender justice. She serves as the Executive Director of the Centre for Women Justice Uganda and holds positions on the governing boards of the International Community of Women Living with HIV – Global and Eastern Africa, the HIV Justice Network, and the AIDS Rights Alliance of Southern Africa (ARASA), among others. Additionally, she is a community delegation member for Unitaid. Immaculate has litigated cases involving HIV criminalization in Uganda and is a strong advocate for using social justice to overcome legal barriers.
