Matthew was recently appointed as the Unitaid Country Engagement Manager – Partnerships, moving from his previous role as Programme Manager, where he has led a portfolio of malaria focused grants since joining Unitaid in 2021. Matthew has also been strongly involved in work on Community and Civil Society Engagement and Climate-Health responses amongst other initiatives at the organisation. Matthew has over 20 years of experience living and working in Sub-Saharan Africa in varied development settings including grassroots CSO work on HIV & AIDS in Kenya and the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Namibia. He holds post-graduate qualifications in International Development and Health Economics.
