Smiljka oversees Unitaid’s cervical cancer and TB diagnostics investment portfolios. Before joining Unitaid, Smiljka worked as a Technical and Advocacy Officer at the WHO Regional Office for Europe, providing technical guidance on TB/HIV coinfection and HIV prevention in key populations: people who use drugs and men who have sex with men. Before joining WHO, she worked as the Executive Director of the European AIDS Treatment Group, a Pan-European advocacy network based in Brussels. Smiljka studied pharmacy at the Moscow Medical University and public health at Lund University.
